The GORE-TEX membrane reliably protects against wind and bad weather. Thanks to the LOWA-MONOWRAP® frame, the midsole of the Z-8S GTX C shoes provides the ultimate in comfort. The 3D midsole construction, made of polyurethane, comfortably hugs the foot and supports it when the shoe wearer ventures over uneven surfaces. For effective cushioning and enhanced comfort, the sole of the Z-8S GTX C shoe is bonded to the upper through a technically demanding injection molding process, providing exceptional lightness and excellent cushioning. The material called polyurethane is a foam padding with very good shock-absorbing properties. The plastic retains its shape and returns to its original state even when millions of tiny bubbles are frequently squeezed. This in turn creates a good reflection effect. The Z-8S GTX C boots feature closed lacing hooks. They guide the laces very securely and prevent them from catching in contact with objects.
