The 3D midsole construction, made of polyurethane, comfortably hugs the foot and supports it when the shoe wearer ventures over uneven surfaces. For efficient cushioning and enhanced comfort, the sole of the R-6 GTX shoe is bonded to the upper through a technically demanding injection process, providing exceptional lightness and excellent cushioning. The material called polyurethane is a foam padding with very good shock-absorbing properties. The plastic retains its shape and returns to its original state even when millions of tiny bubbles are frequently squeezed. This in turn creates a good reflection effect. The R-6 GTX boots feature closed lacing hooks. They guide the laces very securely and prevent them from catching in contact with objects. Thanks to the R-6 GTX's dual-zone lacing system, the forefoot and upper have their own individually adjustable lacing zones. This allows the shoe to be individually adapted to the anatomy of the foot and lacing in different ways when going up and down.
